The Tooth Fairy's First Visit to Alera

Alera had lost her first baby tooth last week. The first thing she said was "the tooth fairy is coming to bring me a million dollars." She was so excited to lose her first tooth. I was shocked that it was so early but then again she did get her first two teeth at 3 months old. The tooth Fairy ended up bringing her $5 dollars since her first tooth was special.

Phil is home

Hi Everyone,

Just to let you all know that Phil has made it home safely. He will be home for about 6 weeks or so. The girls are so excited to have him back that they can't stop screaming and hollering. It's driving me nuts. Kai is being a daddy's girl right now. She is in aw of him. I made it out to Target ALONE and it was wonderful! We have Great Wolf Lodge scheduled for vacation, the lake (Alera calls it the beach) and a Rangers game. Will post more later about what Phil will be doing.

Jump'N Land

Jump'N Land is one of the girls favorite places to go to let loose and scream and holler. I took them on Saturday morning and had them wore out for naps. It's great to see joy in your kids faces when they are having so much fun!

Nana & Papa's House

The girls spent the whole week at Nana's house in Oklahoma. They went out on lots of adventures. My mom took them to Arbuckle Wilderness in which Kai spent most of her time being scared, but they did come home telling me about all the animals.  They spent days at the park and having picnics and lunch with there Papa Ray. They went to Kiddie land to ride some rides, but most of there time consisted of being in the swimming pool.  Alera is much more comfortable swimming without her floaties now and I think she has turned into a fish. The girls had there cousin's over for some quality play & swim time.  The girls had a great time and according to Alera she wants to live with my mom forever and ever. That is until she figures out she has to go to daycare there too!  Now my mom needs a vacation!  Thanks Mom

~Phil~

Good News! Phil is coming home earlier than expected!!! July 20 till August 15th.  We are so excited and can't wait to see him again. Phil will be changing companies from Blackwater to DynCorp.  He will be in training for a few days in Virginia and then he will be deployed to Afghanistan soon after.  Not sure of all the exact details but that is what we know for now.

Sisters

I'm almost always getting comments on how well Alera & Kai get along and love each other. They usually tag along together at the gym. If we go somewhere w/out Kai, Alera asks me when we are going to get sister and that she wishes Kai was with us.  When Alera leaves to go to the park with the neighbors and Kai stays with me she always cries and wants her sissy.  When they see each other at school they have to hug each other.  I just hope they continue to always be close!

San Antonio

Alera & I took a much needed vacation to San Antonio with a friend of mine. We went to Sea World, Tower of the America's and the River Walk. We had a great time but Alera was sort of cranky from it being so hot and from lack of sleep. The best thing about the whole trip according to Alera was that we rode in a taxi a few times. She asked me how come we don't have taxi's where we are from?  So now when we pass a taxi, I have to point it out to her.  We tried fitting everything in to two days (not recommended by the way).  Kai is a little small to have taken her with us so she stayed with Nana in McKinney and got to go the Dallas Aquarium.
